Hearts of Oak

Last Saturday Hearts of Oak played their debut showcase with a 10-piece outfit fronted by ex-members of Bluesky Research at the Wedgewood Rooms. Short and sweet, it was truly awesome. There was a really good turn out considering a lot of people were away at Dave’s stag do and the rest were at the COR Gettano event at The Loft. Keep your eyes and ears on Hearts of Oak. Hats off to Charlie and John and we all look forward to more.

Thought of the Week with Handsome ‘Dave’ Rocker

Yo, welcome to the first of Handsome “Dave” Rockers thought of the week, as this is the first instalment I thought it better be a good one, so here we go.

You know when you’re out and about in our beautiful post code and you often see some familiar faces, but you don’t know them to “talk to” WELL yes you do. They’re also thinking the same thing and I want to bring this to a stop! More so now than ever all of our social groups are entwined, could be the pubs we hang in, the bands we’re into or where we spend our spare time. But here it is, this is what I want you to do to make this a even better place to be…

Say hello to two people you’ve never spoke to, but you recognize, and if it gets awkward explain that I put you up to it…

Its easy and on the whole, people are nice. Catch you laters party people, all my love Handsome “Dave” Rocker.
