The Marmion Tavern Gets a Dramatic New Look and New Menu

The Marmion, on Marmion Road, has recently been re-opened with quite a dramatic new look and style. Matt the new manager got in touch with us before the grand opening on the 17th and the pub is both looking good with some nice design touches plus has a brand new menu and line up of drinks. Check the photos below and be sure to pop in soon yourself to have a look and try out the new dishes.

It’s a really strange transformation, it’s even worse than it was: noisier and less comfortable, just like the Florence.

I’d second that comment from Southsea drinker

Dear Southsea Drinker and Mad Cyril,

Although I appreciate that everyone is entitled to their opinion, to make a statement saying it’s worse than it was originally and noisier only leaves me thinking that you both prefer a dull, dark and lifeless environment like a morgue perhaps,
I would urge anyone to find out for themselves as I and many of my friends find it a refreshing and stylish place to hang out with great staff and a great atmosphere……………….

    I disagree –

    I think its really great.
Southsea has been missing a decent Gastro pub/wine bar and I think this is the closest thing to that.

Ate there a few weeks ago and it was very good.
Couldnt fault it and looking forward to going back!
