Despite Southsea Unite being postponed the other weekend a big group of friends got together for some BBQ, football, cameras, dogs and general hanging out. Good times.

Thought of the Week & Southsea Unite

Sorry its been a while guys but its been a little mental in the world of the handsome man, as you may or may not know me and the gang played at eden in Ibiza last week, and since we’ve been back we all thought we had swine flu. Nothing to do with 3 days rave in 30 degree heat and only 2 meals the whole time we were there, still good times.

And on to a little thought of the week, love yourself! I would like everyone of you to cook yourself a nice dinner then look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself, you know what, you’re pretty fucking cool, then go online and buy yourself something you don’t really need because you deserve it. So what if you need to pay the gas/electric/council tax etc, fuck them. You’ve made it this far you’ve got some quality mates and you should celebrate by giving yourself a big pat on the back.

Handsome Dave Rocker Presents Southsea Unite

Details are finalised for the 1st Annual Southsea Unite party on the the 8th August from 11am, Southsea Common, opposite The Queens Hotel. Bring food, drink and anything else for goodtimes like frisbees etc. Then on to The Little Johnny Russells for an party hosted by Handsome Dave Rocker and Red Indie with very special guest Ryan Jarman from the Cribbs playing a DJ set. Entry to LJR is FREE before 7pm.

So come party with us and we’ll have a great day with Southsea’s beautiful people.

Thought of the Week with Handsome ‘Dave’ Rocker

Here we go again, I’ve got an issue with something a lot of you will be guilty of…………. If something is funny you don’t have to fucking tell me to “laugh out loud” and while I’m ranting, what is lmao? And omfg etc it makes me cross.

And then there’s smileys? Whats that about then, a couple of commas and a bracket, not very smiley. And that’s all I’ve got to complain about really, life is quite sweet at the mo and I hope you all agree.

Thought of the Week with Handsome ‘Dave’ Rocker

Well here we are again, with an idea I’ve been thinking about for a while. So bare with me.

Right as I’m sure by know you all know that I run this town, never mind what any other mother fucker tells you, which is going to make this idea do able.

I’m sure a few of you remember smokey bears picnic, which in essence could have been quite a good day, but we have all grown up, and some of you smoke the ism still and that’s fine but most of us have stopped that shit, plus at smokey bears picnic there was obviously interest from the po po. Which nobody wants especially if you’re blazing…….get me.

So this leads to the idea, as you know there are many social groups in our kingdom of southsea and we all cross over from time to time ,creating a very large group of like minded people which is fucking ace. SOUTHSEA, UNITE! So I am aiming to invite you all to a day on the common with me and everyone within our individual crews for a day of bar b q, music and a huge fucking game of rounders. My aim is Saturday the 1st of august. (Editors note, this is Matt & Lyndas Wedding so it will change. We’ll keep you posted.)

Basically I’m organising a stealth illegal festival for sound people to meet each other properly using southsea’s greatest facility, the common. Any feedback would be gratefully excepted. Stay strong and rave safe, handsome.

Thanks for the comments. How’s this version work for you. It’s good to get feedback as when you’re working on something you can see it for what it’s supposed to be, but an outside view can bring up the little problems.
