Mark Webb

Mark Webb – The Webbie Show

Prepare to have your brain melted. I’m sure we say that every time there is a new Mark Webb BMX edit and it is with good reason, every edit just gets more and more incredible. This new edit was filmed and edited by Chris Wilmshurst.

Last trick…unbelievable. Rewind x 3.

Mark Webb Street Edit

We have mentioned the incredible BMX talents of Southsea Skatepark local Mark Webb a few times, often with video edits of him killing the skatepark. Jay Twist (@EX_Productions) put up a brand new edit the other day, this time featuring some heavy duty street footage, with spots from all over Portsmouth and just off the island too. In a matter of day or so the views were getting on for 20,000. This is some serious destruction, be prepared to shout the odd expletive or two.

Mark Webb – The New Gap

The new gap at Southsea Skatepark (from the rink to the new miniramp) is something a few people might have imagined doing but there is really only one person who would, and has, stepped up. Hard to appreciate just how mental this is, serious danger potential…!

Relentless Short Stories: Mark Webb: Transatlanticism

Does it need words? If you don’t know local rider Mark Webb then check this nice edit by Matty Lambert and see for yourself. Proper stuff. I can’t even get my head round some of it.

Mark Webb – Full English

Effraim has sent us through some more BMX footage, this time of Southsea very own Mark Webb. We did a post on Mark before, a short film entitled Mark by video students from Portsmouth University.

I’m not sure what the background for this footage is, but it’s off the hook. This guy kills it. Check out the slow motion 900 on the quarter pipe. Nuts.

Mark – A short film about Mark Webb

Most people who live in Southsea that either skate or BMX know who Mark Webb is. Video students from The University of Portsmouth have made an RTS award winning mini documentary simple titled ‘Mark’. Even if you’re not into BMXing you should check it out. The guys just nuts on a bike…full stop!

Features

PRIMARY – Extended & Improved

We have some great news about our PRIMARY phonography exhibition (find out all the details here) that we can now announce:

- The deadline for submissions has now been extended to Sunday 4th March. We have had some incredible submissions but want to set aside more time to make the exhibition something really special.

- The competition is now open to up to 10 submissions from each individual. With the ability to capture many photos on your phone over the next two months we we want you to not feel restricted to just three. The same rules apply about the photos conforming to compositions using the primary colours though. If you have already submitted feel free to send more photos over as and when you please.

- The exhibition will be hosted by Albert Road’s own Bonzo Studio who are also partnering up with us in the creation of the exhibition space. More news on this soon!

- Finally, we will be running a competition as part of the exhibition where the best three photos submitted will win some incredible prizes. We will be announcing the prizes available very soon but got to say, these will be the best prize haul we have ever offered.

- We will be putting together a poster for the exhibition that will be on sale on the opening night. The poster will feature some of the best submissions and all profits from the sales will go to a local charity (details to follow soon). Due to this we need to say that any photos submitted to PRIMARY will involve you giving us permission to use them for commercial purposes, if you do not want your photo used in this way simply let us know via email.

Well, that is it for now! We really hope to drum up as much coverage locally for PRIMARY in the next couple of months so if you could Facebook/Tweet/+1 about the exhibition we would really appreciate it. We would love this exhibition to be a real reflection of the whole population of Portsmouth with everyone taking part and feeling involved.
